Ahhhhh, it's another Elephant and Piggie book that's a hit in our household! We heard about these books through my twins' teachers and ended up borrowing all of them from the library. My kids are five and loved them so much we bought all of the books since we read them all the time. These books have been a worthwhile investment for us!Are You Ready to Play Outside? by Mo Willems is another fantastic addition to the acclaimed Elephant and Piggie series. I don't want to give away any details about the story so I will just say that both Gerald (Elephant) and Piggie find out what happens when they go outside to play. Anything can happen!This book is one of the many in the series that has won the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award and it's easy to see why. The story is funny and enjoyable for whole families to read. The story as a whole is short since there are usually just a few words on each page and the words are perfect for young children to learn to read. My kids can read many parts of these books and the words are short enough that they are great for beginning readers. The illustrations are fun and the stories are hilarious. I really get into these stories and my kids love it when I do all of the different voices! Like the other Elephant and Piggie stories, this one is 57 pages long. The hardcover edition is a beautiful book with thick paperback pages.You can't go wrong with any of the books in the Elephant and Piggie series! We love them all and I feel they are worth it to buy since you'll read them A LOT! Schools love these books and everyone I've talked with loves them too. They are geared towards kids ages four to eight but I'm sure younger and slightly older kids would enjoy them as well. You won't be disappointed!

We love Elephant and Piggie books. This is one of our favorites. This time Piggie is the more difficult playmate and Gerald gets to be the sweet one. Mo Williems is so good at writing these one joke narratives that make littles laugh out loud. We also recommend Should I Share my Ice Cream and We Are in a Book. If you're not into the Pigeon books (I'm not), give this series a try. And if you don't own the Knuffle Bunny books, buy those now- they're beautiful visually and so touching. We love Mo!

My 8 year old came home from school the other day, begging for these books. I was able to pick up 3 for $5-6 dollars each, which is an incredible price!I am so impressed with the stories, the words are small, even my kindergartener can read most of them. The story line are so cute and I feel like my kids are actually learning some manners.I will definatly buy more books by this author!

My son is obcessed with this book. He is three and he knows most of it by heart (just like his mommy). This is typical Mo willems at his best. Witty, dramatic and fun read, with a lesson that we can all learn. Five stars!

I have bought all the Elephant & Piggie books for my two boys. The characters of Elephant and Piggie are so fun. We love to read them at bed time. My 6yr old son can read through the books by himself.

New addition for our Gerald and Piggy books collection. Great short tales for night time storytelling and to help your children to start reading.

I love these books! As a classroom teacher, Mo Willems is one of my favorite authors. My students love being read these books and also reading them. Our door was even decorated in a Mo Willems theme- “Read Mo Books!”
